Auto-Incident Rules

Create incidents automatically when error patterns emerge.

Default Rules

Two rules are created by default:

  1. Error Spike: 200% increase → Major incident
  2. Critical Threshold: 10 critical errors in 15 min → Major incident

Creating Custom Rules

Spike Detection

Triggers when error rate exceeds a baseline:

  • Threshold: percentage increase (e.g., 200%)
  • Time window: comparison period
  • Cooldown: prevent duplicate incidents

Count Threshold

Triggers when error count exceeds a limit:

  • Count: number of errors
  • Time window: measurement period
  • Severity filter: which errors to count

Rule Actions

When triggered, rules can:

  • Create an incident
  • Set incident severity
  • Link related issues
  • Notify specific channels
